Approval and Recognition Process for District Postsecondary Career Centers

PURPOSE:

To establish procedures for the recognition of a school operated by a school district as a postsecondary career center under s. 1001.44, F.S. Upon approval as a career center, this designation may allow for district career center participation in other statutory programs which are limited to schools recognized by the Department under this statute.

SUMMARY:

This rule establishes the conditions for recognition of a career center under s. 1011.44, F.S., for postsecondary institutions operated by the school districts. The request and approval process for recognition of new career centers is specified. Postsecondary institutions currently operated by school districts which meet these standards are identified by school district in the rule.
