Tentative Millage and Budget Public Hearing

All or part of these meetings may be conducted as a teleconference in order to permit maximum participation by Governing Board members. The Governing Board may take official action at the meeting on any item appearing on the agenda and on any item that is added to the agenda as a result of a change to the agenda approved by the presiding officer of the meeting pursuant to Section 120.525, Florida Statutes. If Workshop items are not discussed on 9/7, the items may be discussed on 9/8.
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Governing Board to discuss and consider District business, including regulatory and non-regulatory matters, and may include an amendment to the District’s Fiscal Year 2011 budget to revise revenues and expenditures.
At its 5:15 p.m. meeting, September 8, 2011, the Governing Board will conduct the statutorily required public hearing on the District’s tentative millage rates and tentative budget and will adopt the District’s tentative millage rates and tentative budget. The purpose of the meeting is to receive and consider public comment and vote on the tentative FY 11/12 millage rates and budget.
