The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, January 17, 2012, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (Local Time)
PLACE: Lynn Haven City Hall, Meeting Room, 825 Ohio Avenue, Lynn Haven, Florida
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This meeting will provide participants an opportunity to preview the proposed design, ask questions and/or submit comments concerning the upcoming project. Maps, drawings and other information will be on display. There will be no formal presentations or testimony period. Representatives from the department will be available to answer questions and explain the project.
Currently, FDOT plans to resurface S.R. 77 from S.R. 75 / U.S. 231 to the Bailey Bridge and 1,018 feet along 23rd Street. Other proposed improvements include minor drainage upgrades, replacing traffic signal loops affected by resurfacing and pavement modifications. Deficient sidewalks will be repaired, curb ramps will be improved and pedestrian signals and controls will be installed where needed. Additional improvements will bring the roadway into compliance under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This project is approximately 5.049 miles in length and construction is expected to begin in winter of 2013.
