PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The commission proposes to substantially rewrite the rules presently in Chapter 61K1-1, F.A.C. The commission proposes to have Chapter 61K1-1, F.A.C., set forth general requirements applicable to amateur and professional boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts. A second chapter is proposed that will address amateurs only and a third chapter will address professionals only.
SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: The Commission proposes to promulgate rules which regulate boxing, kicking, and mixed martial arts for both amateurs and professionals. This is intended to make it easier for licensees to determine their duties and responsibilities.
