The Florida Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Department will brief the Environmental Regulation Commission (ERC) on the following recently adopted and ongoing rulemaking to Chapter 62-302 (Surface Water Quality Standards) and Chapter 62-303 (Identification of Impaired Surface Waters), F.A.C.: (1) the status of the numeric nutrient standards that were approved for adoption by the ERC in December of 2011, including the outcome of the administrative rule challenge and EPA’s review; (2) Triennial Review of Florida’s water quality standards, which includes proposed revisions to human health-based water quality criteria, and the dissolved oxygen criteria; and (3) draft numeric nutrient standards for the panhandle estuaries, which include Perdido Bay, Pensacola Bay (including Escambia Bay), Choctawhatchee Bay, St. Andrew Bay, St. Joseph Bay, and Apalachicola Bay.
