NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID

BID NO. BDC 34-06/07

The Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Recreation and Parks, Bureau of Design and Construction is soliciting formal competitive bids for the project listed below:

PROJECT NAME: Sebastian Inlet State Park – Coconut Point Dock and Boat ramp improvements

SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, supervision, equipment and materials to complete boat ramp improvements including but not limited to the following: mobilization and demobilization; removal of existing gangways, hand-rails, and floating docks; installation of temporary cofferdam, dewatering operation and erosion turbidity controls; remove existing structures (ramps #1 & #2, rip-rap abutments); excavation of bottom materials; conveyance of material to a dewatering area (constructed by the Contractor at a location designated by the Park); installation of new concrete abutments and ramps #1 and 2; reinstallation of gangways, railings and floating docks; site restoration activities for boat ramp area; complete removal of existing structure (ramp #3 and rip-rap abutment); excavation of bottom material and conveyance of materials to the dewatering area; and construction of new concrete abutment and ramp #3 according to the plans and specifications.

PREQUALIFICATION: When the total bid price including alternates exceeds $200,000.00, each bidder whose field is governed by Chapter 399, 489, and 633 of the Florida Statutes for licensure or certification must submit prequalification data of their eligibility to submit bids five (5) calendar days prior to the opening date.
