NOTICE TO PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANTS
Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees, announces that Professional Services in the discipline of architecture will be required for the project listed below:

Description of Project:
Currently, the existing Student Union building is designed to include several food service facilities, a book store, a ballroom, several small meeting rooms and offices serving a variety of student services. As the student population has increased rapidly, the adequacy of such existing spaces has diminished, and the need to enlarge the building is imminent to keep with the growth of the student population. The addition to the Student Union building will enhance the existing building by including a larger ballroom, a small theatre with tiered seating, additional conference room spaces, a student lounge area with small meeting rooms adjacent to the lounge, and additional office space for various student services.
In general, the addition to the Student Union will contain approximately 20,000 square feet and will be two stories in height to match the existing building. The design of the addition will be complimentary to the existing building.
The project will utilize the Construction Management Delivery method. The selected firm will provide design, construction documents, and administration services for the referenced project. The estimated cost of construction is approximately $5,800,000 and the total project budget is $7,900,000.

Firms desiring to apply for consideration shall submit a letter of application.
The letter of application should have attached the following:
1. A completed Board of Regents “Professional Qualifications Supplement,” dated September 1999. Applications on any other form will not be considered.
2. A copy of the applicant’s current Professional Registration Certificate from the appropriate governing board. An applicant must be properly registered at the time of application to practice its profession in the State of
Submit five (5) copies of the above requested data bound in the order listed above. Applications, which do not comply with the above instructions, may be disqualified. Application materials will not be returned. The plans and specifications for State University System projects are subject to reuse in accordance with the provisions of Section 287.055, Florida Statutes. As required by Section 287.133, Florida Statutes, a consultant may not submit a proposal for this project if it is on the convicted vendor list for a public entity crime committed within the past 36 months. The selected consultant must warrant that it will neither utilize the services of, nor contract with, any supplier, subcontract, or consultant in excess of $15,000.00 in connection with this project for a period of 36 months from the date of their being placed on the convicted vendor list.
