NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 18, 2006 Board of Orthotists and Prosthetists, received a petition for Variance or Waiver, which was filed on August 18, 2006 on behalf of Lewilliam Means. Pursuant to Chapter 28-104, FAC and Section 120.542, FS, petitioner seeks a waiver of Rule 64B14-4.110, F.A.C, entitled “Requirements for Orthotic Fitter, Orthotic Fitter Assistant and Pedorthic.” Specifically, the Petitioner requests a permanent waiver of Rule 64B14-4.110 with respect to the requirement that the education referred to in Subsection (1)(a) be completed prior to earning the experience required by said Subsection. Petitioner makes this request on the basis and in light of the experience and training he has received which is found detailed in the Petition.
