NOTICE TO PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANTS
Request for Qualifications – RFQ 09-16
MASTER PLAN
The University of North Florida – Board of Trustees, a public body corporate, announces that Professional Services in the discipline Architecture will be required for the project listed below:
University of North Florida Master Plan
The project consists of development of the university’s master plan in the following areas: urban design, land use, academic facilities, support facilities, housing, recreation and open space, pedestrian and non-vehicular circulation, transit circulation and parking, utilities, conservation, capital improvements, architectural and landscape design guidelines, facilities maintenance and coastal management. The selected firm may be involved in coordination with other state agencies having jurisdiction, as well as preparation of recommendations for mitigation (e.g. water management and environmental considerations.)
The selected firm may be required to coordinate with local governments and assist the State University System in the preparation and negotiation of development agreements for concurrency and mitigation, if required. The Master Plan must be developed in accordance with the State University System “Guideline for the Comprehensive Master Plan System, April 1992.”
INSTRUCTIONS:
Firms desiring to apply for consideration shall submit a letter of application with the appropriate documents from RFQ 09-16 Master Plan.
The letter of application should have attached:
1. The most recent version of the “UNF Professional Qualifications Supplement,” completed by the applicant. Applications on any other form will not be considered.
2. A copy of the applicant’s current Professional Registration Certificate from the appropriate governing board. An applicant must be properly registered at the time of application to practice its profession in the State of Florida. If the applicant is a corporation, it must be chartered by the Florida Department of State to operate in Florida.
3. Submit seven (7) copies of the above requested data bound in the order listed above. Applications which do not comply with the above instructions may be disqualified. Application materials will not be returned.
Minority Business participation is encouraged; however, it will not be considered in the scoring process.
As required by Section 287.133, Florida Statutes, a consultant may not submit a proposal for this project if it is on the convicted vendor list for a public entity crime committed within the past 36 months. The selected consultant must warrant that it will neither utilize the services of, nor contract with, any supplier, subcontractor, or consultant in excess of $15,000.00 in connection with this project for a period of 36 months from the date of their being placed on the convicted vendor list.
