The Volunteer Florida Foundation is issuing a request for proposals, RFP, from community and faith-based grassroots, charitable organizations under its Compassion Florida initiative. The purpose of these grant funds is to build the capacity of new and small-budget organizations to better serve their clientele, communities and constituencies. The RFP with application instructions will be available at www.volunteerfloridafoundation.org. The deadline for receipt of proposals is 5:00 p.m., March 16, 2009, by 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). The Compassion Florida initiative is funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Compassion Capital Fund under the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance No. 93.009.
