The District One Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) maintains public records showing the types and amounts of certain hazardous chemicals that are stored at facilities throughout Northwest Florida. These records are maintained in compliance with the Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act of 1986 (EPCRA), also know as SARA Title III. The public records consist of forms naming the given hazardous materials present at a site, the hazard the substances pose if released, amounts stored and methods of storage.
The Committee serves Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington and Bay counties. For more information contact the LEPC staff at the West Florida Regional Planning Council, (850)332-7976, 1(800)226-8914 (outside Pensacola) or visit the office: 4081 East Olive Road, Suite A, Pensacola, FL.
