The Division of Air Resource Management announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: October 14, 2009, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
PLACE: County Commission Board Room, 1000 Cecil G. Costin Sr. Blvd., Port St. Joe, Gulf County, Florida
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public with a brief overview of the recently received air construction and stormwater management system permit applications the Department received for the construction of the Northwest Florida Renewable Energy Center (NWFREC). The proposed project location is approximately 1.6 miles directly north of the intersection of US Highway 98 and Highway 71, off of Industrial Road at 521 Premier Drive in Port St. Joe, Gulf County. These applications are to construct the NWFREC; which would be a 47 megawatts (net) woody biomass power plant operating on the principle of integrated gasification and combined. The Department’s permitting process and timeframes for reviewing permit applications will also be discussed.
