The Department of Environmental Protection gives Notice that, pursuant to Section 403.067, F.S., a Final Order was entered on September 18, 2009 adopting the Hillsborough River Basin (HRB) Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP). The HRB BMAP identifies the management strategies necessary to achieve the fecal coliform TMDLs for the following six water body segments (WBIDs) in the basin, Blackwater Creek (WBID 1482), New River (WBID 1442), Spartman Branch (WBID 1561), Baker Creek (WBID 1522C), Flint Creek (WBID 1522A), and Lower Hillsborough River (WBID 1443E). The BMAP was developed as part of the Department’s Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Program, as authorized under the Florida Watershed Restoration Act (Section 403.067, Florida Statutes). The Final Order has been assigned OGC Case No. 09-2903.

The BMAP and the adopted final order may be obtained from the FDEP website: http://www.dep.state.fl.us/water/watersheds/bmap.htm. The final order includes information about the rights of an affected party to file a petition objecting to the adoption of the final order.
