PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The Board proposes the rule amendment to clarify language concerning certified public accountant.
SUMMARY: Language concerning the certified public accountant will be clarified.
SUMMARY OF STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED REGULATORY COSTS: No Statement of Estimated Regulatory Cost was prepared. The Board determined the proposed rule will not have an impact on small business.
Any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of estimated regulatory costs, or provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative must do so in writing within 21 days of this notice.

THE FULL TEXT OF THE PROPOSED RULE IS:
61H1-36.006 Mediation.
(1) “Mediation” means a process whereby a mediator appointed by the Ddepartment acts to encourage and facilitate resolution of a legally sufficient complaint. It is an informal and nonadversarial process with the objective of assisting the parties to reach a mutually acceptable agreement.
(2) The Board finds that mediation is an acceptable method of dispute resolution for the following violations as they are economic in nature or can be remedied by the certified public accountant licensee:
(a) Failure of the certified public accountant licensee to timely pay any assessed administrative fines or costs;
(b) through (e) No change.
(3) No change.
