62-302.700: Special Protection, Outstanding Florida Waters, Outstanding National Resource Waters
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Assessment and Restoration Support announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Department is considering a proposal to designate certain waters in the Matanzas River basin as Outstanding Florida Waters (OFW) in response to a petition submitted by the St. Johns River Water Management District on February 24, 2009. The Department held a public workshop in St. Augustine on January 19, 2010 to discuss the proposal and the OFW program, gather information, and seek public input. A second, follow-up public workshop is scheduled for the date, time, and location indicated above. The petitioned area includes the coastal estuary between Moultrie Creek and the City of Palm Coast in southern St. Johns County and northern Flagler County.
