NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 06, 2010, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for a petition for a variance from A.S.M.E. A17.1, Sections 2.20.4 & 2.24.2.1, as adopted by Chapter 30, Section 3001.2 Florida Building Code adopted by paragraph 61C-5.001(1)(a), F.A.C. The petitioner, The Division of Blind Services, Daytona Beach, FL, requests the variance from these rules which require hoisting ropes of a minimum 9.5mm diameter and metallic sheaves. The petition was received from Lee Rigby (VW 2010-231).
