NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Keith Begelman on July 01, 2010. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:
Even though his record has been expunged, Mr. Begelman is still required to acknowledge his felony conviction. Therefore, he is not exempt from the eligibility requirements set forth in Section 943.13(4), F.S., and is not eligible for Florida certification as an officer.
