Legal Advertisement for Adult Education Career Pathways – Competitive Grants
The Florida Department of Education, Division of Career and Adult Education announce the availability of federal funds through a competitive grants process titled “Building an Adult Education Career Pathways System for Transitioning to Postsecondary Education”.
The Department is seeking grant applications to build the capacity of eligible providers responsible for adult education and literacy services in the State of Florida. The purpose of the grant is to increase the number and percentage of adult education students who enter postsecondary education and earn a degree, certificate and/or industry credential.
The federal funds used to support this initiative are authorized under the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, Title II – Adult Education and Family Literacy Act. Total funding available is $7,945,004 with approximately 67 awards. Applications are due Friday, February 18, 2011.
