The Department of Transportation, District 2 announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: February 17, 2011, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
PLACE: Courtyard by Marriott, 14402 Old St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville, Florida
GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This workshop is being held to afford interested persons the opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design and social, economic and environmental effects of Financial Project ID Number 209514-3, otherwise known as SR 5/US 1 from the future SR 9B Interchange to north of Philips Industrial Boulevard, Duval County, Florida. The workshop is an open house format from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Exhibits will be provided for your review and Department personnel will be available to answer your questions.
The proposed transportation improvements include milling and resurfacing the existing roadway, removal of on-street parking to allow for designated bike facilities, miscellaneous drainage structure repairs, guardrail replacement, sidewalk/handicap ramp repairs, traffic signal rehabilitation and upgrading the existing signing and pavement markings along the corridor. The proposed improvements will be provided within the existing right-of-way.
