REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

INSURANCE BROKER SERVICES

The Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority (THEA) is soliciting Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified Respondents interested in providing Insurance Broker Services to assist with various insurance and bonding requirements including, but not limited to, insurance/bond procurements, loss analysis, claims analysis, negotiation of various insurance related contracts and writing of specifications for insurance service providers.

All interested firms will obtain a copy of the RFQ Instructions and Submittal Documents and submit a completed response to the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority, 1104 East Twiggs Street, Suite 300, 3rd Floor, Tampa, FL 33602. Submittals are due by 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011, at which time THEA will open the responses.

THEA will hold a MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. THEA will only consider proposals submitted by firms participating at the conference. See Section A, Paragraph 1.5 of the RFQ for conference details.

Submittals shall include a Letter of Transmittal, Statement of Qualifications and completion of the RFQ Documents, including a Questionnaire. Firms failing to submit the required RFQ Documents may be deemed non-responsive to the RFQ. The RFQ is available through the DemandStar System (www.demandstar.com) or through a link on the THEA web site (www.tampa-xway.com).

THEA encourages the use of registered Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms to the greatest extent possible on projects. THEA will consider SBE participation when evaluating the submittals.
