NOTICE TO GENERAL CONTRACTORS
The
Project and Location:
The project consists of the construction of minor projects for the university. All trades under the General Contractors professional license may be utilized in the scope of this agreement. Campus Service Agreements for these projects provide that the Contractors will be available on an as-needed basis for one year through
Minor projects are defined as projects with a value of up to $1,000,000 or studies for which the fee for professional services is $200,000 or less.
FORM OF PROPOSALS
It is the University’s intention to have professionals in the discipline of General Contractor for this project.
The selected General Contractor will provide budgets, estimates, schedules, construction services, construction administration, and project close out documentation for the referenced project. Blanket professional liability insurance for the General Contractor will be required for this project in the amount of $250,000 and will be provided as a part of Basic Services.
The committee members have elected not to meet with proposed firms.
Carefully review the General Contractor Agreement, the General Conditions documents, and the UCF Design, Construction, and Renovation Standards. Submitting a proposal for this project constitutes complete agreement with and acceptance of the terms and conditions contained within these documents. Firms desiring to provide construction services for the project shall submit a letter of application and a completed
A list of completed jobs over the last three (3) years with contact names and telephone numbers must be provided. Submittals, which do not comply with these requirements or do not include the requested data, will not be considered. No submittal material will be returned.

Selection of finalists for interviews will be made on the basis of Contractors qualifications, including experience and ability; past experience; bonding capacity; cost estimating; and qualification of the firm’s personnel, staff, and consultants. Finalists will be provided with a description of the final interview topics. The Selection Committee may reject all proposals and stop the selection process at any time.
