Adult Education and Family Literacy, and English Literacy/Civics Funding Availability
The Division of Career and Adult Education is sponsoring conference calls for the competitive funding of Adult Education and Family Literacy, and English Literacy/Civics Education grants for fiscal year 2011-2012. These federal funds are authorized under the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act of 1998. The funds are available to eligible applicants to assist adults in becoming literate, obtaining knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency, obtaining the education skills necessary to become full partners in their children’s education, and completing their secondary school education. Interested parties are invited to call in and participate.
