PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of these changes is to remove lower-priority diseases that are currently reportable to the Department of Health by physicians, hospitals and/or laboratories. Cases of reportable diseases are tracked and investigated by the Department of Health for the purposes of preventing additional cases and disease outbreaks.
