69A-38.020: Scope
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The Department received a Petition for Rulemaking from the Florida Association for Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc., requesting an amendment to subparagraph 69A-38.020(3)(c)2., F.A.C., by changing its application from group home facilities serving five or fewer clients to those serving six or fewer clients. The effect would be to reduce the fire protection requirements for group home facilities currently serving six clients.
SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Life safety during fire and other emergencies in residential developmental disabilities facilities required to be licensed by the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities, pursuant to Section 393.067, F.S.
