Overview



	The Florida Department of State’s Office of Cultural, Historical and Information Programs in conjunction with the Florida Humanities Council will be hosting a Viva Florida 500 conference for all established partners and other interested organizations and individuals announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Monday, October 24, 2011, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST.

PLACE:	Ybor Room in the Ybor Building, Hillsborough Community College, 2001 N. 14th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605

Subject:	Planning for Florida’s 500-year anniversary, or Quincentennial, of its European discovery by explorer Juan Ponce de León. This meeting will consider The Business of Viva Florida 500 and provide a unique opportunity to hear from community leaders planning events and activities for the 2013 anniversary year. All partners are encouraged to attend. Teleconferencing will be available.
