Specific Regulations for Wildlife Management Areas - Northeast Region

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed rule amendment is to clarify the opening day of gray squirrel season on Lake Monroe and small game season on Marshall Swamp wildlife management areas (WMAs). The effect of the proposed rule amendment will be to enable the agency to better manage fish and wildlife resources.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment would clarify that there is no change to the current opening of gray squirrel season on Lake Monroe WMA and the opening of small game season on Marshall Swamp WMA.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY:

Article IV, Section 9, Florida Constitution.

Article IV, Section 9, Florida Constitution 375.313 FS.
