Overview



	The Florida Department of Education conducted an Emergency Conference Call of the State Board of Education announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	May 15, 2011, 10:30 a.m.

Subject:	The purpose of the emergency meeting was to discuss the results of student writing proficiency as measured by the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) and their impact on school grades. The action of the Board was to award credit to schools towards their school grades based upon the percentage of students scoring “3.0” or higher rather than “4.0” or higher on FCAT 2.0 writing.
