Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, August 7, 2012, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

PLACE:	Polk County Sheriff’s Office, 1100 Dunson Road, Davenport, Florida 33896

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation will host an open house to provide details on the upcoming construction project on US 27, from north of Ritchie Road to south of Barry Road, in Davenport, Florida. Improvements being made as part of this project consist of widening US 27 from a four-lane divided highway to a six-lane divided highway, milling (removing old asphalt) and resurfacing the existing roadway, drainage improvements, improved signalization, lighting, installation of sound barrier walls, sidewalk construction, installation of five-foot paved bike lanes, and signing and pavement markings. There will be no formal presentation. Project staff will be available to answer questions regarding access to businesses and residents, lane closures and other project related information.
