	The Florida Department of Transportation, District Four announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	October 10, 2012, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

PLACE:	International Game Fish Association Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum, 300 Gulf Stream Way, Dania Beach, Florida 33004

Subject:	This Alternatives Public Workshop is being held for the proposed improvements to I-95/SR 9 in St. Lucie County, Florida (Financial Management Number: 429804-1-22-01; Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM) Number: 13168). The workshop will be an open-house forum where all viable alternatives that have been developed will be on display. This workshop is being held to present the project progress to date and obtain comments from the general public on the alternatives under consideration. The primary purpose of this project is to enhance operational capacity and relieve congestion along this segment of the SR 9/I-95 Expressway, which extends approximately 9 miles from SR 848/Stirling Road to north of SR 816/Oakland Park Boulevard in Broward County. The study will focus on evaluating the addition of tolled Express Lanes in the median of I-95 with opportunities to accommodate regional express bus service. Your participation is encouraged and appreciated. In the event that the workshop cannot be held on October 10, 2012 due to severe weather or unforeseen conditions, it will be held on the alternate date of October 24, 2012 at the same time and place.
