Treatment of Sedated Patients by Dentists Without an Anesthesia Permit

PURPOSE:

The proposed rule amendment is intended to update the rule by clarifying the continuing education course content and the time frames for completing the courses.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment is necessary to update the criteria under which dentists without a sedation permit may treat a sedated patient in an out-patient dental clinic.
