Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, August 7, 2013. The public hearing will begin as an open house at 5:30 p.m. with a formal presentation at 6:00 p.m. followed by a public comment period.

PLACE:	Indiantown Civic Center – 15675 SW Osceola St., Indiantown, FL 34956

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, will conduct a public hearing for the proposed improvements to State Road (SR) 710 (Beeline Highway) in Martin and Palm Beach Counties, Florida (distance of approximately 25miles). Project Limits: From approximately one mile east of SR 76 (Kanner Highway) to Blue Heron Boulevard (SR 708) in Martin and Palm Beach Counties, Florida. Financial Project Identification No’s.: 419348-2-22-01/419348-1-22-01 and Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM) No.: 7151. The project also includes an Access Class change of SR 710 from 4 to 3 from one mile east of SR 76 to the Pratt Whitney Entrance. This public hearing is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design; and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements and in accordance with Federal Executive Orders 11990 and 11988. The proposed improvements consist of widening SR 710 from approximately one mile east of SR 76 to the Pratt Whitney Entrance from the existing two lanes to four lanes (Access Class change from 4 to 3). From the Pratt Whitney Entrance to Northlake Boulevard, no roadway widening is proposed. From Northlake Boulevard to Blue Heron Boulevard, improvements consist of widening the existing four-lane rural roadway section to a six-lane urban section. An interchange at SR 710 and Northlake Boulevard is also proposed. Other improvements include drainage as well as evaluating access along the corridor. The draft project documents and other information will be available for review from Wednesday, July 17, 2013 to Saturday, August 17, 2013, excluding major holidays, at the following locations: Palm Beach County Sheriff Office 8130 North Jog Road West Palm Beach, FL 33412 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Elisabeth Lahti Library 15200 SW Adams Avenue Indiantown, Florida 34956 Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Documents will also be available at the public hearing. Persons wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits, in place of or in addition to oral statements, may do so at the public hearing or by sending them to Mr. Donovan Pessoa, Project Manager, at FDOT, District Four, 3400 West Commercial Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33309. All exhibits or statements postmarked on or before August 17, 2013 will become a part of the public hearing record. In the unlikely event that the hearing cannot be held due to hurricane weather, the hearing will be held on August 21, 2013, at the same time and location.
