PURPOSE:

Chapter 65I-1, Emergency Financial Assistance for Housing Program, needs to be repealed because the program has been superseded by the Homelessness Prevention Grant Program, chapter 2013-74, Section 7, Laws of Florida.

SUMMARY:

The EFAHP program was a rental, mortgage and deposit assistance program for families threatened with homelessness. The program has been superseded by the Homelessness Prevention Grant Program which will help prevent homelessness by assisting families with rent, mortgage or utility assistance in local communities.
