	The Department of Elder Affairs announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	October 3, 2013, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. , EST

Subject:	The Department of Elder Affairs announces the convening of a public meeting with the Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) and other stakeholders to evaluate and develop a plan related to future procurement for existing local services that expand long-term care alternatives enabling elders to maintain an acceptable quality of life in their own homes and avoid or delay nursing home placement. The plan will be submitted to the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives no later than November 1, 2013.
