59G-4.310

Targeted Case Management for Children at Risk of Abuse and Neglect

PURPOSE:

The purpose of new Rule 59G-4.310 is to implement the Florida Medicaid Targeted Case Management Services for Children at Risk of Abuse and Neglect Coverage and Limitations Handbook, __________. This handbook will cover a set of interrelated activities under which a case manager locates, coordinates, and monitors appropriate services for a recipient. Services may be provided only in the following Florida counties: Broward, Duval, Hillsborough, Martin, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Pinellas. Matching Medicaid funds are provided by a children’s services council or local governmental entities in these counties.

SUMMARY:

The new handbook pertains to all targeted case management for children at risk of abuse and neglect providers enrolled in the Florida Medicaid program. Enrolled practitioners listed above must be in compliance with all provisions of the handbook. This handbook will allow case managers to assist recipients in the target group to gain access to medical, social, educational, and other services.
