59G-4.030

Reproductive Services

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the amendment to Rule 59G-4.030 is to incorporate by reference the Florida Medicaid Birth Center and Licensed Midwife Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook, _________________. The amendment clarifies existing language, updates policy, and establishes two separate fees; one for facility services and one for licensed midwife services. The amendment also removes terminology regarding family planning products that are no longer available and changes the title of the rule to Birth Center and Licensed Midwife Services.

SUMMARY:

This rule combines birth center services and licensed midwife services. This rule applies to all providers of birth center and licensed midwife services who are enrolled in the Florida Medicaid program.
