PURPOSE:

The Department intends to amend several rules within Chapter 65C-13, Foster Care Licensing, to accomplish the following tasks: 1) revise the rule language to reflect legislative changes related to the extension of foster care enacted during Session 2013; 2) revise language to reflect the responsibility of foster parents to deliver life skills training; 3) add language regarding pool safety requirements to accurately reflect s. 515.27, F.S.; 4) add language to clarify babysitting, overnight care, and normalcy; and 5) resolve issues of ambiguity and simplify language.
