Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, April 23, 2014, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

PLACE:	Westland Gardens Park,13501 NW 107 Avenue, Hialeah Gardens, FL, 33018

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six will hold a public meeting to discuss the design and scope of work for a roadway project along NW 87 Avenue from NW 74 Street to NW 103 Street in the Town of Medley and the City of Hialeah Gardens, in Miami-Dade County. The project identification number is 405615-3-52-01. The proposed work includes: constructing a four-lane divided roadway with painted median; constructing a new bridge over the Miami River Canal (C-6); constructing retaining walls; six new signals, new lighting, new pavement markings and signing; providing dedicated and shared bicycle lanes; providing pedestrian ramps and new sidewalks; and constructing a new 36-inch water main. Construction is expected to begin in October 2015 and last about two years. The estimated construction cost is $26.3 million. The public meeting will be held as an open house and attendees are welcome to arrive any time between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to review the proposed plans and project displays. FDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project, answer questions, and receive comments on the proposed improvements.
