Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, October 7, 2014, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

PLACE:	Normandy Shores Golf Club, located at 2401 Biarritz Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33141

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six will hold a public meeting to discuss the design and scope of work for a roadway resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation (RRR) project along State Road (SR) 934/NE 79 Street Causeway from North Bayshore Drive to Bay Drive West in Miami-Dade County. The project identification numbers are 431180-1-52-01 and 431180-2-52-01. The proposed work includes: repaving and restriping the road; addressing ADA and sidewalk deficiencies; upgrading pedestrian curb ramps to current standards; providing missing detectable warning surfaces; upgrading signage throughout the corridor; upgrading pedestrian signals to address ADA issues; install new roadway lighting within the project limits; and install new bridge railings on Bridge No. 870084 and 870550. Construction is expected to begin in summer 2015 and last about one year. The estimated construction cost is $4.6 million. The public meeting will be held as an open house and attendees are welcome to arrive any time between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to review the proposed plans and project displays. FDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project, answer questions, and receive comments on the proposed improvements. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
