Anesthesiologist Assistant Protocols and Performance

PURPOSE:

The proposed rule amendment is intended to incorporate the revised anesthesiologist assistant protocol form into the rule.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment incorporates the revised anesthesiologist assistant protocol form into the Board’s rule.  Currently, the form and the rule are inconsistent with the number of assistants that can be supervised by an anesthesiologist.  The amendment to the form clarifies the number of up to four assistants which is consistent with the rule.
