Training Standards for Law Enforcement Agencies Investigating a Sudden Unexpected Infant Death

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rule is to adopt a curriculum for training regarding sudden unexpected infant death syndrome (SUID), establish standard procedures to be followed by law enforcement agencies investigating cases involving SUID, and adopt training for law enforcement agencies in responding to parents and caretakers requesting assistance.

SUBJECT:

Standards for the investigation of and response to cases of SUID.
