Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, April 28, 2016, Open House: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

PLACE:	The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel – 13400 West Sunrise Boulevard, Miccosukee Ballroom, Sunrise, FL 33323. In the event that the Public Information Meeting cannot be held on the scheduled date due to severe weather or other unforeseen conditions, it will be held on the alternate date of Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the same time and place. Complimentary event parking is available.

Subject:	Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), Widening of the Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869) from South of Sunrise Boulevard to South of US 441 (SR 7), Broward County (Financial Project ID Number: 435763-1-22-01). A Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study is being conducted in order to identify and evaluate any potential impacts that may result from the widening of this section of the Sawgrass Expressway. The study includes engineering services to develop concept plans that will be used to consider all social, economic, and environmental effects, and potential mitigation measures as required by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) PD&E Manual, along with the required environmental documents, engineering reports, and public involvement activities. This meeting is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed improvements to this section of the Sawgrass Expressway.
