Overview



	The Central Florida Expressway Authority announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	November 15, 2016, 5:00 p.m.

PLACE:	Legacy Middle School, Cafeteria 11398 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando, Florida 32825

Subject:	The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) is planning to widen State Road 408 (Spessard L. Holland Expressway) from east of State Road SR 417 (Central Florida GreeneWay) to east of Alafaya Trail. This project will include new travel lanes and proposed sound walls parallel to SR 408 along sections of the project area. The meeting will be an open-house format where the public will be able to obtain project information and speak with members of the project team. The Central Florida Expressway Authority performs noise studies during the design phase of capacity improvement projects. During the design phase for this project, a noise analysis was conducted and locations were identified where a sound wall would be a viable measure to reduce traffic noise. The Central Florida Expressway Authority is now trying to determine the level of support from nearby property owners and residents for the construction of these sound walls. The proposed sound wall concepts will be presented at the October 6th meeting.
