	The Florida Department of Transportation, District Four announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., open house format.

PLACE:	Port Salerno Civic Center, 4950 SE Anchor Avenue, Stuart, FL 34997

Subject:	This Public Information Workshop is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location and proposed design of the proposed roadway improvements to SR 5/US-1 (Federal Highway) in Martin County, Florida. Financial Project ID No.: 436096-1-52-01. The purpose of this project is to extend the pavement life and upgrade the bicycle and pedestrian facilities for the portion of the SR 5/US-1 roadway from North of Salerno Road to North of Fischer Street. Improvements include: 1) Milling and resurfacing of all travel lanes, turn lanes and shoulders. 2) Sidewalk and pedestrian ramp upgrades to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. 3) Upgrading the signing and pavement markings to current FDOT and MUTCD standards. 4) Upgrading pedestrian signal heads at three signalized intersections (Monroe Street, Pomeroy Street, Fischer Street) to countdown-type signal heads.
