Overview



	The The MPOAC Bicycle/Pedestrian Working Group and the MPOAC Best Practices Working Group and the MPOAC Staff Director's Committee announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	March 2, 2017, Bicycle/Pedestrian Working Group and Best Practices Working Group, 10:00 am - Noon, Staff Director's Committee, 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

PLACE:	Lee County Administration East Facility, 2201 Second Street Room 118, Fort Myers, FL 33901.

Subject:	Bike/Ped – to discuss innovative and creative practices and policies that will improve the state of cycling and pedestrian activities in Florida while also considering ways to reduce serious injuries and fatalities of non-motorized users of the transportation system in urbanized areas of Florida. Best Practices – To discuss leading edge practices of MPOs in transportation planning so that a transfer of knowledge can occur to improve the overall state of transportation planning among Florida's MPOs. Staff Director's Committee - Activities related to transportation planning within and adjacent to metropolitan areas in Florida carried out by local, state and federal agencies.
