Overview



	The FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, DISTRICT ONE announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, June 15, 2017, Open House: 5 p.m., Formal Presentation: 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period.

PLACE:	Gulf Coast Church of Christ 9550 Six Mile Cypress Parkway Fort Myers, FL 33966

Subject:	This Public Hearing is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed I-75 at Colonial Boulevard (SR 884) Interchange, Lee County, Florida. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, religion, disability or family status. This hearing will address changes in project design, right of way acquisition, and adjacent property access as per Ch. 335.199, Florida Statutes. The project, as proposed, will acquire approximately 1.84 acres of property from the City of Fort Myers Eastwood Golf Course, and will relocate approximately 1,700 linear feet of the North Colonial Linear Park Trail along Colonial Boulevard and 450 linear feet of trail/sidewalk along Ortiz Avenue. As part of the project development process and in accordance with Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966, the FDOT is seeking comments from the public concerning the effects of the project on the activities, features, and attributes of these resources. The FDOT intends to make a de minimis impact determination on both of these resources. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
