	The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, June 13, 2017, 6:00 p.m.

PLACE:	Miami-Dade Expressway Authority Board Room

Subject:	The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), has scheduled a Public Kick-Off Meeting regarding the proposed rapid transit improvements for the East-West Corridor, along State Road (SR) 836/Dolphin Expressway from Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) to SR 90/US 41/SW 8th Street at SW 109th Avenue/Florida International University (FIU). The Kick-Off Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority Board Room, located at 3790 NW 21st Street, Miami, FL 33142. This meeting will be held in an informal, open house format with a brief presentation at 6:30 p.m. As a component of the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan, this project will consist of evaluating an extension to the existing Metrorail Orange Line as well as other rapid transit alternatives. It will also include public on-street transit stations/stops, as well as public and/or private facilities located adjacent to the corridor. This meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the project, become familiar with the study process, and provide initial feedback.
