RULE:

64B17-5.001

Requirements for Reactivation of an Inactive or Retired License

PURPOSE:

The updated requirement promotes public safety by ensuring that a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant sufficiently understands the physical therapy laws and rules of the state of Florida to pass the required examination.

SUMMARY:

Reactivation of an inactive or retired license no longer requires a 2-hour continuing education course on laws and rules; instead, passage of the Florida laws and rules examination developed by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy is required.
