Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, October 24, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. EDT

PLACE:	Center for Workforce Development, Tallahassee Community College, 444 Appleyard Drive, Room 105, Building 38, Tallahassee, Florida 32310.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public information meeting regarding the multi-lane reconstruction of two segments of State Road (S.R.) 263 (Capital Circle) in Leon County, Financial Project Identification Numbers: 219749-2-52-01 and 415782-9-52-01. The first segment is S.R. 263 (Capital Circle) from S.R. 61 (Crawfordville Road) to County Road (C.R.) 2203 (Springhill Road). The second segment is S.R. 263 (Capital Circle) from C.R. 2203 (Springhill Road) to S.R. 71 (Orange Avenue). The intent of these projects is to widen the existing roadway from two lanes to six lanes, add lighting and construct stormwater management facilities and intersection improvements. A 10-foot multi-use path will be constructed on the east side of the roadway and a 5-foot sidewalk will be constructed on the west side of both projects. A new bridge will be constructed over Munson Slough in Segment 1 from Crawfordville Road to Springhill Road. Noise barrier walls are included as part of the design of this segment which is funded for right-of-way acquisition and construction. Bids for construction will be received fall 2021. Segment 2, from Springhill Road to Orange Avenue is funded for right-of-way acquisition and construction. Bids for construction will be received fall 2020. There will be no formal presentation, however FDOT representatives will be available to discuss improvements, answer questions, and receive comments. Maps, drawings, and other project information will be on display.
