Overview



	The Florida Department of Transporation District Four announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 5:30 p.m.

PLACE:	The Peter and Julie Cummings Library, 2551 SW Matheson Avenue, Palm City, FL 34990

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation has scheduled a Public Hearing for the SR-714/SW Martin Highway Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. The limits of the study are from SW Citrus Boulevard on the west, to SW Martin Downs Boulevard on the east. The purpose of the project is to provide additional capacity on SR-714, as well as improve the signalized intersections at Citrus Boulevard and SW 42nd Avenue within the study limits. The project will also realign the intersection of Deggeller Court and Leighton Farm Avenue from an off-set intersection to a regular 4-legged intersection. Additionally, this Public Hearing will address modifications to the SR-714 Access Management Classification that would occur as a result of the proposed project. Draft documents will be on display for review beginning on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at the Peter and Julie Cummings Library, 2551 SW Matheson Avenue, Palm City, FL 34990, Tel: (772) 288- 5702, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday Noon to 8:00 p.m., CLOSED Sundays and Mondays. The documents will remain on display through November 6, 2017. Persons wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits, in place of or in addition to oral statements, may do so at the hearing or by sending them to Ms. Maria Formoso, PE, PMP, FDOT Project Manager, 3400 West Commercial Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. All exhibits or statements postmarked on or before November 6, 2017, will become part of the Public Hearing record. In the event that the Public Hearing cannot be held on October 26, 2017 due to severe weather or other unforeseen conditions, it will be held on the alternate date of December 14, 2017 at the same time and place. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
