RULE:

69A-37.039

Prescribed Forms for Training and Certification

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed amendment to Rule 69A-37.039, F.A.C., is to adopt a new form for use by firefighters and volunteer firefighters who wish to apply for the Lifetime Firefighter designation provided under Section 633.415, F.S.  The Division will use this form to determine whether an applicant meets the eligibility requirements described in Section 633.415, F.S., for receipt of the Lifetime Firefighter designation. The Division is authorized to adopt rules pursuant to its authority under Section 633.104(1), F.S., to implement the provisions of Section 633.415, F.S.

SUMMARY:

The proposed change to the rule is to adopt a new form implementing Section 633.415, F.S., for use by firefighters or volunteer firefighters applying for receipt of the Lifetime Firefighter designation.
